About the Social Skills Group
This will be a fun and interactive in-person group that focuses on social skills in a small group environment designed for verbal learners ages 5 - 7 that struggle in social settings. It will be run by Occupational Therapists.
A parent group session will be completed to review children’s skills and explore strategies for future at the end of the five sessions. Parents will also be provided with daily handouts with specific focus on skills taught after each class.

Collaborative play and sharing an imagination

Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Note:
Occupational Therapy services may be covered depending on health plan & are tax deductible.
If you have an FCSD contract, this may be covered by use of respite or community aide hours. Parents are encouraged to discuss with caseworkers for eligibility.
The group also requires a minimum number of children in order to run.
Covid Protocols: Dates are subject to change if restrictions are in place for community activities. Precautions will be taken to limit sharing of supplies and all staff will be following the AHS covid protocols and vaccination program. Children are encouraged to wear masks however it will not be a requirement.
