Children's Picky Eating Group - 6 Thursday Evenings

  • Peter Pan Child Care Centre (Located in Millbourne Market Mall) 76 st and, 38 Avenue Northwest Edmonton, AB, T6K 3Y7 Canada (map)

ABOUT THE PICKY EATING GROUP

Growing Changes Picky Eating Group will provide caregivers with practical feeding strategies to help their child accept new foods into their diet. We will explore fun ways to play with food and get your child more involved in the mealtime routine. Caregivers will also learn strategies to select and prepare foods for your child, so they are more likely to give it a try.

Feeding Evaluation

Each family will be asked to complete a feeding history questionnaire prior to the start of the group and identify at least 3 foods you would like your child to learn to eat.

Feeding Treatment

There will be a total of 6 sessions. Each treatment session is 1 hour. The therapists will work with the child and the family once a week to assess and address the various factors involved with eating. The goal of the treatment is to target individual goals of the child and assist caregivers in creating a successful home program. Individual recommendations will be provided at the end of this group.

Please let us know if your child is on a special diet such as gluten free, casein free, lactose free, wheat free or if they have any allergies.
